Every aluminium shopfront, roller shutter and curtain walling system we install is finished in architectural powder coating to BS EN 12206-1 — available in any of the 213 RAL Classic colours below. Powder coating is baked onto the aluminium, so unlike paint it never needs redecorating: the finish typically carries a 10–25 year guarantee and only needs washing to stay looking new.
You can match your frontage to your brand colours exactly, choose matt, satin, gloss or textured finishes, and even specify dual colour — one RAL outside, a different one inside. For coastal premises we recommend marine-grade (QUALICOAT Seaside) pre-treatment, and for dark or south-facing frontages a Class 2 super-durable powder that resists UV fade. Already have a shopfront that just looks tired? We also respray existing aluminium on site in any colour below.

Anthracite grey is RAL 7016 — by some distance the most specified colour for modern aluminium shopfronts and roller shutters in the UK. It pairs well with glass, signage and brickwork, which is why it has become the default contemporary choice.
RAL 7016 anthracite grey, RAL 9005 jet black and RAL 9016 traffic white are the three most popular UK shopfront colours. Other common commercial picks include RAL 7035 light grey, RAL 3020 traffic red and RAL 5010 gentian blue for brand-led frontages.
Yes. Powder coating is applied to each face of the aluminium profile, so dual-colour frames — one RAL outside to match your branding and another inside to suit your interior — are a standard option.
Dark and bright colours fade fastest under UV. For south-facing or dark frontages such as RAL 7016 or RAL 9005, specify Class 2 super-durable powder under the QUALICOAT scheme — it carries longer colour-retention warranties, commonly up to 25 years. Regular washing keeps the warranty valid.
Yes. Structurally sound aluminium shopfronts and roller shutters can be professionally cleaned, prepared and resprayed on site in any RAL colour for a fraction of replacement cost.
Treat on-screen colours as a guide only — monitors render colour differently, and the finish (matt, satin, gloss, textured or metallic) changes how a colour reads. Always confirm your choice against a physical powder-coated sample, which we can provide before fabrication.
